House Hunting Puerto Adventurous, Playa Del Carmen Mexico [Boomer and Senior Travel TV #72]

In episode from www.boomerandseniortravel.tv Debbie and Gaylan continue their vacation to Playa del Carmen and Puerto Adventurous Mexico. Our vacation coincided with a two week Mexican Holiday – Easter / Holy Week and college spring break for the USA. The beach in Playa del Carmen was so crowded that there was barely room to walk along the beach. Walking down the main tourist street “5 Avenue Norte” in Playa del Carmen is must. Order healthy green drink and mixed fajitas at “100% Natural Restaurant.” Our next discovery was the Fish Spa. Let me show you how it feels to have little fish eat the dead skin off your feet. Then, it was onto house hunting in Puerto Adventurous with realtor Mike Martin from Investment Properties Mexico. We ate at the “Mango’s Restaurant” while watching the people swim with the dolphins.

House Hunting Vacation Hunting Coco’s Cabanas [Boomer and Senior Travel TV #71]

If you are looking for a relaxing vacation destination that feels like you’re in the jungle but very close to the beach with superb service and world class food this is the resort for you. We found this wonderful cabana boutique hotel while looking for a house on or near the beach for sale near Playa del Carmen, Mexico. We went there to see about buying it as a business and retirement location. We felt like we were on House Hunters International. We decided we wanted to retire not take on such a hands on business but oh what a wonderful vacation destination. Here is my review of Coco’s Cabanas. If you get the chance to stay here don’t forget to have a massage on the beach. If you stay in the area stop into eat at their excellent restaurant or sit and chat over a drink at the bar.

Africa Wine Country Tour; Cape Town Day Tour [Boomer and Senior Travel TV #69]

Taking a tour of the wine land area is a great day trip from Cape Town South Africa. It is both beautiful and informative. We stopped at the Fairview Winery. This was my favorite winery tours. We did wine tasting (for our group grape juices) tasted a variety of their cheese flavors, watched and photographed the sheep on the Sheep Tower and sat by the koi fish pond.

March 19th San Juan Capistrano Celebrates the Return of the Swallows on St. Joseph’s Day

Have you visited the San Juan Capistrano in California? If not this tradition happens on March 19th each year. The bells are ringing, the Mariachi are playing, and people waiting in anticipation today at the Mission in San Juan Capistrano. The celebration is an annual event with the celebration of St. Joseph’s Day but also for the return of the swallows to the mission.

Have you visited the Mission San Juan Capistrano in California? If not it has a tradition on March 19th each year. It is also a beautiful town. Even if you can’t be there today make a plan to visit.

Each year the swallows return to build their little mud homes at the mission. Then in October (celebrated October 23rd) they leave for the winter. They say this has been going on for more than 200 years. Where do they migrate to? Goya, Argentina.

If you get a chance to be there it is a festive celebration you might get to see masses of swallows arriving on March 19th or leaving if you go on October 23rd.
