Cruise Tours, Independent Tours or You Can’t Leave the Ship Tours
One of the considerations for the cruise ports of call that are stops on any cruise that you take is how you are going to see or enjoy that cruise destination. Here are some tips that will help you. The first step is to ask yourself these questions:
Do you want to get off the ship or stay on and enjoy the food and amenities? You may have this dilemma as there is so much to enjoy on the ship or you might have a fear of leaving the ship in a foreign country either way that’s OK. Stay and enjoy what the ship has to offer you. You don’t have to get off the ship. Do you want to tour attractions? Do you want to take an escorted group tour, private tour or to tour independently on your own? Is shopping on your list of must dos? You may be an independent seasoned traveler who likes to get off the ship and do your own thing, go shopping, walk around the area, grab a taxi or purchase a tour at the dock. Do you like active adventure tours, history and culture, limited walking, or beach time?

I am currently working on a package tour for me and Gaylan and several other couples. I thought I would share the process with you. This process will work for planning a group trip or when traveling as a couple.
Part of enjoying a trip when you travel is to have everything you can pre-planned. This particular trip I want a vacation that is all taken care of. Booking an all-inclusive vacation or package escorted tour are a couple of the ways that end some of the problems that arise and ruin a couple vacation.
Once the vacation is booked I don’t want to have to think about it or have discussions and arguments over where to eat, when to stop, how long to stay at any one place or another.
Add Christmas Traditions from Your Travel
Add variety to your traditions by picking up some from the places that you travel and incorporate them into your family traditions.
One of the traditions we added to our Christmas traditions we got from Holland.
Father Christmas visits the Children in Holland and leaves them treats and gifts. On Christmas Eve as part of our Christmas program we put one of our shoes out on the front step. Children in Holland would put out wooden shoes. At the end of our Christmas program we go outside and like magic Father Christmas has filled our shoes with treats and a small gift. Our children even though they are married have never figured out how that happened as we never left the room. So surely St. Nicolas from Holland is real.
Adding tradition to your family is fun. Remember only to add the traditions that you want to carry on with forever.
Types of Couple Vacations for your Gift this Christmas
Traveling as a couple can be simple or extravagant but either way you can enjoy time alone to focus on each other. Leave work and worry behind and pretend that the only people that matter for your vacation time is you and the one you love.
There are a number of different types of travel here are some couple vacation ideas:
“Stay Vacation” – A stay vacation is when you stay in the area that you live or in a town that is within economical driving distance. Stay in a hotel one to two nights. Activities could include a going to a play, concert, the movies, skiing, rock climbing, going for a balloon ride, fishing, going to an amusement park, participating in beach activities, snorkeling, dining or shopping. Of course you should include some romance in your plans. What you include in your “Stay Vacation” all depends on the time of year, the place you stay and the activities available. No matter what you can make a couple vacations that includes fun and romance.
